What should you check first?
Identify the sales country, product category and legal selling entity before submitting evidence in the platform’s requested fields. Platform acceptance and legal compliance are separate checks; one number does not cover every market and stream.
The platform’s published requirements
On a computer or tablet, open Account Settings → Business Info → EPR registration numbers → Add or Manage. Select the country and Packaging category, enter the number and tick the compliance declaration before adding it. Repeat for each relevant country.
eBay says existing French and German packaging numbers are migrated automatically; update them if inaccurate. An entry in your account is not a replacement for the underlying registration.

Your evidence checklist before and after submission
- Save the account notice and date; confirm the country, category and selling entity it concerns.
- Match names, identifiers and scope against authentic registration or scheme records. Never borrow another company’s evidence.
- Prepare packaging materials, weights and sales destinations; distinguish product packaging from fulfilment-added shipping packaging.
- Keep submission status and confirmation records. Correct source-record mismatches before resubmitting through the platform workflow.
Do these requirements apply to every seller?
