UK / EU MARKET ACCESS

EU EPR compliance for UK businesses

Based in Belgium, with EPR support across all 27 EU member states.

Where should you start?

Map your selling entity, product categories, sales channels and destination countries. These facts determine who is the producer and which packaging, WEEE or battery obligations need attention. Overseas status alone does not replace this assessment.

UK and EU compliance: plan them separately

Selling from the UK into Belgium is a cross-border route. A UK packaging registration does not replace a Belgian assessment. Identify the UK selling entity, any EU importer and whether the Belgian buyer is an end user or reseller. If you sell through both a marketplace and your own store, describe both routes. Northern Ireland or other special arrangements need a separate factual review rather than a blanket Brexit conclusion.

Your preparation checklist

  1. Company registration and registered business address.
  2. Countries of sale, marketplaces and direct-to-consumer channels.
  3. Product categories, packaging materials, weights and annual country-level volumes.
  4. Existing EPR registrations, scheme memberships and mandates.

Belgium first, or several markets together

We can scope a Belgian engagement or an EU-wide plan. Each national registration and reporting route remains distinct. Service fees and external contributions are separated in the proposal.

PPWR representation and GPSR are separate

Any PPWR EPR mandate is scoped to the applicable producer-responsibility duties. GPSR product-safety and EU responsible-person support are separately scoped and quoted; neither appointment automatically covers the other.
